OPTIMIZATION AND SIMULATION MODELING OF THE STRUCTURE OF ELECTRICITY GENERATION CAPACITIES OF ENERGY COMPANIES

Abstract
The article deals with the methodological and practical aspects of the application of optimization and simulation modeling for the analysis of the structure of electricity generating of energy companies. In most cases, while modeling energy systems the universal tools are used. They are based on optimization features of linear and nonlinear programming, multi-criteria decision-making process, genetic algorithms, etc. The main attention in the article is focused on the theory and practice of modeling of the structure of generating capacities, the classification of existing modeling tools. As an example, the results of application of linear and non-linear programming tools for estimating the structure of generating capacities in Ukraine are presented.
