Organizational-Economic Bases of the Activity of Commodity Exchanges in the Sales of Agricultural Products

Abstract
The article analyzes activities of commodity exchange in the legal, institutional and economic aspects of activity. The economic aspect of activity is directly related to the functions that are performed by commodity exchange. Features of commodity exchange have been considered, as the main ones have been allocated the following: risks insurance, pricing, information provision and provision of conditions for both carrying-out trade operations and maintaining liquidity. The major channels for the sale of agricultural products have been considered. Introduction and expansion of exchange trade specifically in terms of agricultural products in Ukraine provides: a quick sales of products, reducing the number of intermediary structures, pricing transparency in the market as a whole.
