Journal Title: Revista Romana de Studii Eurasiatice - Year 2008, Vol 4, Issue 1
Abstract
The Sino-Soviet relations worsened suddenly in 1969 as result of the failure of the collaboration between those two states. The US felt the need of improving Sino-American relations from the angle of geopolitics. Having just presided White House, Nixon began to look either for a channel or for a chance of dialogue with China right away. By chance of his visits he opened the French channel, the Pakistani channel, the Romanian channel, the Norwegian channel and the official Polish channel. We shall further study the role of the Pakistani channel between the Sino – American diplomatically talks.
