Journal Title: Гастроентерологія - Year 2014, Vol 3, Issue 53
Abstract
The analysis of the data of Center for Medical Statistics of Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine for 8 years (2006–2013) has been carried out. We have analyzed the parameters of prevalence, incidence and clinical cases of pancreatic diseases among adults per 100,000 population in Ukraine as a whole, as well as in 25 regions and in cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol. The study of hospital admission indices, including delayed one, of surgical activity and mortality in acute and chronic pancreatitis has been carried out. It was established that for 2006–2013 the parameter of pancreatic diseases prevalence per 100,000 adult population in the country increased by 56.8 %; growth rate of incidence was lower by 2.5 times and amounted to 23.1 %. There were identified the most disadvantaged, in terms of pancreatic diseases, regions of the country. Hospitalization rates increased by 11.6 % in acute pancreatitis and by 30.2 % — in the chronic course of the disease. Indicator of delayed hospitalization was 37–40 %, what is inextricably linked to postoperative mortality rate, its level in acute pancreatitis for the last 8 years was 14.0–10.8 %, in chronic pancreatitis this figure gradually increased and in 2013 stood at 7.8 %, which is significantly higher than the world values.
