Paradigmatic ties of adjectives in the belle-lettres style

Abstract
Paradigmatic ties of adjectives in the belle-lettres style are studied. Paradigmatic ties of adjectives within the nucleus and the first periphery are distinguished and compared. The nucleus contains good, last, old, new, young, large, little, small, black, white, long. The first periphery includes the following adjectives: great, English, big, red, dark, green, blue, happy, dead, real, perfect, strange. The adjectives good, little, large, old, new, small, great, real, English have the biggest number of paradigmatic ties. In the belle-lettres style a great number of paradigmatic ties between separate adjectives was found as it demands as many as possible attributes for brightness and a deep depiction of an image (a character).
