Journal Title: International Journal of Research in Social Sciences - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 7
Abstract
The past was the era of non-existence of participatory rights for children. The present is the entrenchment of such rights in international instruments and some national laws including Nigeria‟s Child‟s Rights Act, 2003 wherein some participatory rights were specifically stated to so be, and others not so specifically stated. The forecast is that Nigeria‟s Child‟s Rights Act shall in future, state as specific, the participatory rights not so stated.
