Peculiarities of neologisms in contemporary Arabic language
Journal Title: Науковий вісник Міжнародного гуманітарного університету. Серія «Філологія» - Year 2016, Vol 23, Issue 2
Abstract
Analysis of sources on topical issues of the Arabic language has shown a necessity for a more objective assessment of the influence of other languages on the processes taking place within the Arabic language. As a whole, it is clear that the enrichment of the vocabulary of the Arabic language with new words from other languages has been particularly intense in recent 70–100 years. Most words, which were borrowed from other languages, adapted to the rules and laws of the Arabic language. They perceive the prefixes, suffixes, infixes of the Arabic language and, at the same time, act in different forms and contents. Sometimes these words are perceived as a new form of neologisms, which denote terms in different models and styles. This means that the newly perceived speech in Arabic did not hinder the development of the Arabic language and were not used to the detriment of the internal resources of the dictionary. On the contrary, the emergence of neologisms accelerates the development of all linguistic processes.
