Peculiarities of the conflict “love – duty” in Zong Pu’s short story “Red Beans”

Abstract
A short novel “Red Beans” by the contemporary Chinese writer Zong Pu, in particular, the conflict “love – duty” which represents a non-traditional female model of conflict is the key point of this research. The peculiarities of depiction of the main characters and author’s symbols as the means of realization of this conflict have been analyzed as well.
