Pelaksanaan Rencana Operasional Branding Samosir

Abstract

The uniqueness of a city will attract visits. Therefore, many cities want to be better, unique, different and has a positive image in the world. City branding is one way to form the city image. Samosir is a place that is currently getting ready to build a positive image. The image of a city will be formed successfully with the right branding strategy. The study aims to determine the branding strategy of Samosir that has been done. Branding strategy of Samosir will be assessed by classifying each activity into five stages of the operational plan for a destination brand by Teemu Moilanen and Seppo Rainisto. Research method is to describe the branding activities in the "Visit Samosir Year 2014" in accordance with the theory put forward. Samosir has been carrying out several stages of good branding, such as creating organization, making execution and enforcement plan and implementation and follow-up. Stages that require attention for the better developed is the research stage and engagement of stakeholders in forming brand identity.
