Pengetahuan siswa SLTA tentang bantuan hidup dasar

Abstract
Keadaan darurat bisa terjadi kapan saja, di mana saja dan kepada siapa pun. Situasi ini mengharuskan masyarakat untuk mengetahui bagaimana melakukan pertolongan pertama kepada para korban yang berada dalam situasi darurat (Diklat PPNI Jawa Timur, 2015). Di Indonesia, siswa SLTP dan SLTA yang tergabung dalam organisasi Palang Merah Remaja bekerjasama dengan Palang Merah Indone- sia untuk memberikan materi bantuan hidup dasar dari henti jantung dan henti napas. Tujuan peneliti adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengetahuan siswa di sekolah SLTA untuk memberikan bantuan hidup dasar. Metode: Desain penelitian adalah deskriptif. Sampel penelitian adalah 96 responden, diambil secara purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 5 Mei 2016 di STIKes Patria Husada Blitar sebelum pelatihan bantuan hidup dasar untuk SLTA oleh Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa STIKes Patria Husada Blitar. Pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 73 responden (76%) memiliki pengetahuan yang kurang, 17 responden (17%) memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup dan 6 responden (7%) memiliki pengetahuan yang baik dalam bantuan hidup dasar. Diskusi: Institusi Pendidikan kesehatan dapat melakukan pengabdian masyarakat dengan memberikan pelatihan tentang bantuan hidup dasar dengan metode yang lebih menarik dengan teori dan simulasi.
