PERCUTANEOUS FIXATION OF U-TYPE FRACTURE OF SACRUM
Journal Title: Journal of Turkish Spinal Surgery - Year 2010, Vol 21, Issue 1
Abstract
U-Type sacral fracture is uncommon fracture that can present transforaminal or intradural extension. Associated neurologic injury is common. It must be remembered and evaluated with lateral sacral radiography or computed tomography in patients who falled or jumped from high levels. Fixation with bilateral percutaneous iliosacral screw is a good technique that can be used in such fractures. We present a case that had a U-type sacral fracture and discussed the treatment of this uncommon injury.
