Performance Comparison on Power Efficient Ad hoc Routing Protocol
Journal Title: International Journal of Research in Computer and Communication Technology - Year 2012, Vol 1, Issue 2
Abstract
Basically ad hoc mobile devices operate on batteries. Hence, power consumption becomes an Important issue for the researcher. To maximize the lifetime of ad hoc mobile networks, the power consumption rate of each node must be evenly distributed, and the overall transmission power for each connection request must be minimized. There are several routing algorithms proposed in previous work which satisfies the above two constraint. In this work we will compare the performance of different types of power-related routing algorithms via simulation. Simulation results describe the need of life time of an ad hoc network.
