PERSONALITY AND PSYCHOLOGICAL PORTRAIT OF SERIAL KILLER

Abstract

The article is devoted to the concept of the identity of a serial murderer. Authors examine the differences between the concept of “the identity of a serial killer” and the concept of a “portrait of a serial killer”. The article examines the peculiarities of making and using a psychological portrait of the criminal in the investigation of serial murders. The classification of serial killers according to the criterion of motivation and organization of a serial killer is analyzed.
