Abstract
Analysis of functioning the public transport in Łódź, carried out by Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacji Sp. z o.o. in Łódź is the main purpose of the article. Data included in the article demonstrate the company’s problems in aspiration to accomplish the Green Paper regulations towards the new mobility culture in the city [16] and assumptions of the European transport policy assuming halving the number of cars with conventional engines in the public transport by 2030 and their total elimination from cities by 2050 [ 1]. Stock and infrastructure investments analysis are essential in this area.
