Photocatalytic treatment to inhibit the growth of skin cancerous cells
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF ADVANCES IN PHYSICS - Year 2017, Vol 13, Issue 3
Abstract
A photocatalytic technique has been applied to study the inhibition of growth of cancerous cell . A suspension of semiconducting carbon (band gap 1.2 eV) in methanol (2 mg/ml in methanol) on administering to C6- Glioma (5 x 106 cells) tumor transplanted in Wistar pups and exposing it with visible light (15 Lux) for 30 min. inhibited the growth of cells while exposure of the cells alone either with light or semiconducting carbon did not show any appreciable inhibition. The mechanism responsible to inhibit of the growth of the cell is discussed. It is proposed that some medical practitioners would adopt this technique to cure skin cancer. Effect of quaternary addition on structure, electrical, mechanical and thermal properties of bismuth-tin-zinc rapidly solidified fusible alloy
Effect of quaternary addition, silver or indium, on structure, electrical, mechanical and thermal properties of bismuth-tin-zinc rapidly solidified fusible alloy have been investigated. Adding silver or indium caus...
The magnetic field Influence on the absorption threshold of VO2
The vanadium dioxide VO‚‚ is a material described as being intelligent because it can transit [1,2] from a reversible way of the semiconductor state to the metal state at a temperature θt = 68°C. When we are at a temper...
Structural and Magnetic Properties of Co0.5Ni0.5-xMnxFe2O4(x=0, 0.15, 0.25, 0.35, 0.5) Ferrite Nanoparticles Prepared via Sol-Gel Auto-Combustion Method
In this study, Co0.5Ni0.5-xMnxFe2O4 (x=0, 0.15, 0.25, 0.35, 0.5) ferrite nanoparticles were prepared by sol-gel auto-combustion method. Structural, magnetic and morphology properties of obtained nanoparticles were invest...
Pointlike Electric Charge in Gravitational Field Theory
The existence of charged elementary ’point particles’ still is a basically unsolved puzzle in theoretical physics. The present work takes a fresh look at the problem by including gravity—without resorting to string theory...
The Deformation Structure of the Nuclei 32S and 36Ar
We applied two different approaches to investigate the deformation structures of the two nuclei S32 and Ar36 . In the first approach, we considered these nuclei as being deformed and have axes of symmetry. Accordingly, w...
