Physicochemical properties of chitin-protein complex from shell of RED KING crab (Paralithodes camtchaticus) at various stages of molting cycle
Journal Title: Progress on Chemistry and Application of Chitin and its Derivatives - Year 2008, Vol 0, Issue
Abstract
It is worth of note that the studies have shown the substantial differences in the physicochemical characteristics of the chitin-protein complex isolated from the crab shell at various stages of the molting cycle. Perhaps, in the future the results of studies can be taken for the fair assessment of the corresponding step in the crab development.

ISOLATION AND PURIFICATION OF CHITINOLYTIC ENZYMES OF RUMEN CILIATES Eudiplodinium maggii
Results of the earlier studies suggested an involvement of ciliates Eudiplodinium maggii in the digestion and metabolism of chitin in the rumen. In the presented paper we described the results on the preliminary identifi...
INFLUENCE OF UV-IRRADIATION ON MOLECULAR WEIGHT OF CHITOSAN
In the present paper the results regarding the influence of UV-irradiation with 254 nm wavelength on the molecular weight of chitosan are presented. The concentration of chitosan solution was 0.5%(w/w) in 0.1 M acetic ac...
Studies on the Diffusion of Direct Dyes in Chitosan Film
The diffusion of two direct dyes in chitosan film under neutral conditions has been followed using the Sekido roll technique. Analysis of the concentration profiles confirms that the diffusion process is similar to that...
