Physicochemical properties of chitin-protein complex from shell of RED KING crab (Paralithodes camtchaticus) at various stages of molting cycle
Journal Title: Progress on Chemistry and Application of Chitin and its Derivatives - Year 2008, Vol 0, Issue
Abstract
It is worth of note that the studies have shown the substantial differences in the physicochemical characteristics of the chitin-protein complex isolated from the crab shell at various stages of the molting cycle. Perhaps, in the future the results of studies can be taken for the fair assessment of the corresponding step in the crab development.

THE INFLUENCE OF THE DEACETYLATION DEGREE OF CHITOSAN IN THE FORM OF FLAKES ON THE EFFECTIVENESS OF NITRATES V SORPTION FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS
The influence of the degree of deacetylation of chitosan from the range of DD = 75–90% on the effectiveness of sorption of nitrates from aqueous solutions was investigated. The scope of the research included: determining...
ENZYMATIC PREPARATIONS FROM Mucor MOULDS AND THEIR APPLICATION IN OLIGOAMINOSACCHARIDES PRODUCTION
A method of chitosan hydrolysis catalyzed by intracellular chitosanolytic enzymes produced by strains of Mucor circinelloides and Mucor racemosus was developed within the scope of presented study. Hydrolysis of the biopo...
FUNCTIONAL-TECHNOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF MEAT-AND-VEGETABLE EMULSIONS WITH THE ADDITION OF CHITOSAN DERIVATIVES
This article provides data on the analysis of the properties of chitosan derivatives as a functional ingredient used in food technologies as a structure-forming agent, immunomodulator, enterosorbent of xantobiotics, anti...
INFLUENCE OF NANOSILVER ON THERMAL STABILITY OF CHITOSAN
Nanoadditives for polymers have many valuable features: e.g. the ability to change the properties of polymers: mechanical strength, stability and heat resistance and resistance to radiation. These properties make them an...
CHITOSAN DICARBOXYLIC ACID SALTS
It is possible to obtain salts with specified properties from adipic, succinic and fumaric acids and chitosans of varying degrees of deacetylation and viscosity-average molecular weight. The temperature of the process, t...
