Journal Title: Wiek XIX. Rocznik Towarzystwa Literackiego im. Adama Mickiewicza - Year 2017, Vol 0, Issue 0
Abstract
Wojnisław Kazimierz Sulim Sawicz-Zabłocki (ca. 1850 – post 1905) was one of the representatives of the generation of Polish-Byelorussian writers active in the post-1863 period. Te article discusses numerous little known events in the biography of the writer (interwoven with the fate of Polish emigration in Paris, with J.I. Kraszewski, A. Giller), written using the author’s multilingual language. Sawicz-Zabłocki’s poetic legacy in both Polish and Byelorussian languages grants him a place among the poets of the second half of the 19th century, originating in the multilingual territories of the former Commonwealth of the Two Nations.
