PIXE ANALYTICAL METHODS APPLIED IN ENVIRONMENTAL
Journal Title: Journal of Science And Arts - Year 2008, Vol 9, Issue 2
Abstract
Nuclear Analytical Methods can be used for research activities on environmental studies like water quality assessment, pesticide residues, global climatic change (transboundary), pollution and remediation. Prominent features of NAMs are sensitivity, selectivity, multielement determination and linearity of the calibration function. In this article we present the analytical methods PIXE Particle Induced X-rays Excitation) with applications in trace elements analysis on aerosol and antarctic samples.

THE TOPOLOGIC STUDY OF THE GEOMETRIC TRAJECTORIES IN THE MATHEMATICAL BILLIARDS
The mathematical billiard problem is about the reflection of a light ray in different bounded domains. In this paper we will refer to the domain bounded by a circle.
EVALUATION OF SOME NEW ORGANIC ADDITIVES WITH ALTERNATIVE FUNCTION GROUPS IN CYANIDE-FREE ALKALINE ZINC ELECTROPLATING
Polymers (I and II) have been prepared based on imidazole and epichlorohydrine. These polymers were used as primary additives in non cyanide alkaline zinc electroplating processes at ambient temperature. At the same time...
