Abstract
In the article, based on the data of the analytical report "Measurement and analysis of the impact of GVС on economic development", we are talking about the place of global value chains in modern production systems. The analysis of the influence of the country's participation in the GVС on its economic development has been carried out. It is considered a phenomenon of the middle-income trap.
