PLANTS AND ASSESSMENT OF THEIR ENVIRONMENTAL FITNESS FOR USE IN FARMING

Abstract
The results of studies of phytotoxicity degree of different production techniques for sewage sludge of Bortnychi aeration station JSC “Kyivvodokanal” and their mixtures with raw sludge, the number of microorganisms of specific ecological and trophic groups are provided. It was established that according to the complex of ecological and microbiological parameters, thermophile-fermented and aero¬bic-stabilized sewage sludge are suitable for agricultural use (direct application, processing into fertilizers). Mixtures of sewage sludge that include raw sewage sludge, exhibit phytotoxic properties, they have incomplete mineralization processes, therefore measures for their additio¬nal processing for biocompost, fertilizing com¬posites, etc. are required.
