Podmiot sakramentu namaszczenia chorych

Abstract
W opracowaniu podjęto próbę analizy i interpretacji przepisów, w oparciu o które Kościół określa kryteria dopuszczania podmiotu do sakramentu namaszczenia chorych. Uwzględniono w nim dyspozycje kan. 1004-1007 KPK/83, a także stosowne przepisy liturgiczne i – w miarę potrzeby – inne kanony korespondujące. W oparciu o komentarz współczesnej doktryny prawnej oraz w nawiązaniu – tam, gdzie było to konieczne – do wątków historycznych, wyodrębniono najpierw ogólne kryteria podmiotowe, którymi są: fakt przyjęcia chrztu, osiągnięcie stanu używania rozumu oraz wejście w stan niebezpieczeństwa na skutek choroby lub starości. Następnie dokonano analizy zasady powtarzalności tego sakramentu. W dalszej kolejności scharakteryzowano wskazane przez prawodawcę przypadki szczególne, kiedy to może zachodzić wątpliwość, co do możliwości traktowania kogoś jako podmiotu sakramentu chorych. Dalej poczyniono uwagi na temat rozumienia prośby o sakrament, która powinna występować po stronie przyjmującego. Na koniec odniesiono się do zakazu udzielania tego sakramentu chorym, którzy uparcie trwają w jawnym grzechu ciężkim.
