Abstract
The article is devoted to analyzing basic approaches to the definition of authoritarianism. The author analyzed the peculiarities of functioning of the political regime in Turkey (in 2014–2017). The author determined the political regime in Turkey (in 2014–2017) as competitive authoritarianism.
