Polygraph Examinations in the Department of Special Psychology of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic – a Retrospective View

Abstract
Th e history of the polygraph usage in the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic started on 6 March 1998. Selected personnel of the ministry commenced a special educational and training programme to gain experience with the polygraph, with the prospect of using its results for the needs of individual units of the ministry. The programme was conducted under the guidance of long-time polygraph specialist from the US.
