POLYMORPHISM OF Dy3Ni2 COMPOUND: THE CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF α-Dy3Ni2 AND β-Dy3Ni2
Journal Title: Праці Наукового товариства ім. Шевченка - Year 2016, Vol 44, Issue
Abstract
Bulk polycrystalline sample, containing new, high-temperature modification of Dy3Ni2 compound (β-Dy3Ni2), has been synthesized by slow cooling method. Its crystal structure was determined from powder X-ray diffraction data: structure type Er3Ni2, space group R , ahex = 0.8531(1) nm, chex = 1.5767(3) nm. Crystal structure of low-temperature modification of Dy3Ni2 compound (α-Dy3Ni2) has been refined using single crystal X-ray diffraction method: structure type α-Dy3Ni2, space group C2/m, a = 1.3456(3) nm, b = 0.37170(7) nm, c = 0.9656(2) nm, β = 106.17(3)°, R1 = 0.044; wR2 = 0.079.
