Popular Theoretical Models to Study Lattice Dynamics
Journal Title: International Journal of Engineering and Science Invention - Year 2018, Vol 7, Issue 5
Abstract
Different Models were used to study Lattice Dynamics in the past like Conventional Force Constant Model, Born-Von Karman Model, Shell Model etc. Nowadays, improved models are in use like Ab-Initio Calculation Model, Density Functional Theory(DFT) etc. The most successful model till now is DFT which is largely used by researchers for its wide applications in different fields due to balance between accuracy and computational cost.
