Popularization and application of Guang 8 You 165, a leadingvariety of Guangdong Province, in Zhaoqing City

Abstract
"Promotion and application demonstration points of Guang 8 You 165 were established in Dinghu, Gaoyao, Sihui, Huaiji, Fengkai, Deqing, Guangning and other counties (cities, districts) in Zhaoqing City, and various forms of demonstration were adopted to promote the popularization and application of Guang 8 You 165 in Zhaoqing City. The field production results in Xingyi Village, Gangping Town, Huaiji County, Zhaoqing City showed that, the yield of Guang 8 You 165 increased by 412 kg per hm2 than Biboyou 998 with increased rate of 5.19%, increased by 558 kg/hm2 than Zhanyou 226 with increased rate of 7.03%. According to statistics, in 2013-2017, Guang 8 You 165 has accumulated a total application area of 28 067 hm2 in Zhaoqing City; the average yield was 7210 kg/hm2; the production of Guang 8 You 165 was 202 277 t, creating a total economic benefit of 687.74 million Yuan, increasing new net income of 43.16 million Yuan. The economic benefit was remarkable. Guang 8 You 165 is very suitable for the climatic and environmental conditions of Zhaoqing City, and it is suitable for large-scale promotion in Zhaoqing City. The promotion and application of Guang 8 You 165 in Zhaoqing City will promote the healthy and stable development of high-quality rice industry in Zhaoqing City, and improve the yield of rice and grain production efficiency."
