Journal Title: International Journal of Social Science And Human Research - Year 2023, Vol 6, Issue 06
Abstract
Global population aging is deepening, and how to reduce the proportion of aging population is an issue of importance for every country. This paper uses literature research method to combine Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory and current policies by searching literature with theoretical works on coping with population aging, followed by analysis and research. The analysis and comparison reveals that Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory and current policies on population aging match, as well as the longer the course of population aging, the higher the hierarchy of needs, but most countries are currently at the third level of the theory, with few policies at higher levels.
