POTENTIAL OF “DARK” TOURISM IN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

Abstract
The article defines the origin, characteristics and affiliation of “dark” tourism. The classification of “dark” tourism is considered and examples of relevant tourist sites are given. The resource base of “dark” tourism in Europe has been studied. Resource potential of Ukraine has been identified for the development of dark tourism.
