Powder Sintering of High Speed Steel

Abstract

ABSTRACT The article shows the important role of the use of powder materials in metallurgy, presents the investigations of highspeed steel R6M5 powders, obtained by electroerosion dispersion in kerosene environment. The results of studies on the particle size distribution, particles sintering, and the results of measurement of the microhardness and density of the sintered samples are shown. In particular, it was found that the average particle size is 26,72 microns, microhardness of sintered blank is 212 HV, the main elements are Fe, W, V, and Cr.
