Power-Supply Systems Reliability Control
Journal Title: EAI Endorsed Transactions on Energy Web - Year 2018, Vol 5, Issue 19
Abstract
System reliability control is proposed to maintain through the usage of the operating time between the system components' failure. Usually, trouble-free (reliability) is assessed considering component failures. Almost all the system probabilistic parameters were determined via the component failures. The system reliability control requires another approach to solve this kind of problem. The first thing is a rational system component selection, which is necessary to provide its reliable functioning in the process of exploitation, safe maintenance, cost-effective mounting and dismounting. Secondly, the components must meet technical and economic feasibility requirements. They cannot be used with high or low capacity. If the component capacity is overrated, you bear unjustified costs, i.e. you pay an increased price for the purchase of spare parts and new components if they are replaced. In case of the low capacity increasing loads on the system cause its component load increase, which leads to the breakdown. Prevention of the occurrence of failures in the system, will increase the system's trouble-free and, therefore, its reliability. Therefore, the system reliability can be controlled.

Train Operation Control on-based of Logical-Linguistic Model
The article presents a new approach to control of train movement based on a combination of terminal (finite) and fuzzy control methods using a logical-linguistic model whose numerical parameters are determined on the bas...
Centralized Mobile Users Assignment Strategies for Energy Management in Het-LTE Networks
Power consumption control paradigm constitutes an incentive solution for the serious energy issues faced by operators. In this work, we investigate two mobile users assignment strategies for energy management in heteroge...
Classification of Vehicle Types in Car Parks using Computer Vision Techniques
The growing population of big cities has led to certain issues, such as overloaded car parks. Ubiquitous systems can help to increase the capacity through an efficient usage of existing parking slots. In this case, cars...
Average Case Analysis of the MST-heuristic for the Power Assignment Problem: Special Cases
We present an average case analysis of the minimum spanning tree heuristic for the power assignment problem. The worst-case approximation ratio of this heuristic is 2. We have the following results: (a) In the one-dimens...
