Power supply unit for the excitation of a synchronous motor with a reactive power regulator
Journal Title: Mining – Informatics, Automation and Electrical Engineering - Year 2015, Vol 521, Issue 1
Abstract
The article features the development of a complete power supply unit for the excitation of a synchronous motor with a non-contact excitation circuit. The implemented algorithms for start-up control allow to start the motor in optimal time according to the set parameters. The embedded microprocessor reactive power regulator enables to use the motor as an execution element of the superior compensation system. The communication system enables multiple co-operation possibilities with external devices.
