Power supply unit for the excitation of a synchronous motor with a reactive power regulator
Journal Title: Mining – Informatics, Automation and Electrical Engineering - Year 2015, Vol 521, Issue 1
Abstract
The article features the development of a complete power supply unit for the excitation of a synchronous motor with a non-contact excitation circuit. The implemented algorithms for start-up control allow to start the motor in optimal time according to the set parameters. The embedded microprocessor reactive power regulator enables to use the motor as an execution element of the superior compensation system. The communication system enables multiple co-operation possibilities with external devices.

Impact of voltage dips on the operations of a high-power synchronous motor with a reactive power Controller
The article presents the impact of voltage dips on the operations of a synchronous motor in the state of synchronism. The following characteristics were determined: static characteristics of the load angle depending on p...
Integrated control system of main fans station for deep mines ventilation
The article describes a complete control system of the main fans system with an integrated remote control and monitoring system. A power supply system and communication diagram were presented. Co-operation between partic...
Mining of thin coal seams using surface-underground methods
Shallow hard coal deposits in the form of seams can be mined using surface-underground methods. These methods are characterized by the exploitation of the deposit from the surface, while the mining process itself takes p...
Requirements for the development of an effective autonomous methane detection system protecting against a sudden emission of methane
The paper features the development origin of a new methane measuring system whose main purpose is to provide quick protection of heavily saturated methane longwalls against a sudden emission of methane from goafs into th...
Miniature ball contact sensor for locating singular points of a control magnetic field
The article presents the results of research (obtained by use of a specially developed contact sensor) regarding the completion of singular points of the spatial magnetic field for selected systems of miniature relays co...
