Abstract
The paper concentrates on the basic area of the Polish Post's (PP) core business, based on logistic process (flows of postal items in logistic network), which is key process for this operator. Attempt of identification of the most important processes affected Polish Post's logistic process was undertaken. The place and the role of these processes in supporting optimal and effective flows of postal items in the borders of the Polish Post's Dispatching and Sorting Centre (WER) was also indicated. These flows, carried out by WER, are crucial for whole operator's logistic network.
