Abstract
Starting from Thoreau’s division into knowledge understood as a dictionary and biography, a discussion of a book Ujmować. Henry David Thoreau i wspólnota świata by Tadeusz Sławek places it in the context of deconstruction and a poststructuralist turn of the theory. At the same time, however, it shows that Sławek’s easily-recognizable and consistent style is not a result of a simple recapturing of categories worked out by J. Derrida (e.g. a margin, a responsible answer, a varying repetition, and, above all, friendship), but their far-reaching interpretation, as a result of which they take on a new community-creative character, going beyond a deconstructivist self-referentiality and the so called ethic criticism inscribing into the current. Le livre de Tadeusz Sławek Ujmować. Henry David Thoreau i wspólnota świata place la différenciation de la science comprise comme dictionnaire et la science comprise comme biographie, inspirée de Thoreau, dans le contexte de la déconstruction et du tournant poststructuraliste de la théorie. Il montre que le style de Sławek, facilement reconnaissable et conséquent, n’est pas l’effet d’une simple interception des catégories proposées par Derrida (par exemple marge, réponse responsable, différance et – avant tout – amitié) mais de leur interprétation d’une grande portée. En effet, elles prennent un nouveau caractère de créer une collectivité qui dépasse une autoréférentialité déconstructiviste et s’inscrivent dans le courant de la critique éthique.
