Abstract
While development of positive psychology goes forward, it provides substantial contribution many scientific disciplines. Psychological counseling is also example of these disciplines. In this study, the constructs of positive psychology is mentioned. Then, using of positive psychology at counseling, group based counseling activities, consultancy are explained. In addition these, positive psychology is investigated with respect to preventive counseling. As a result, counselors are important cornerstones for strengthening of individuals’ capabilities and potentialities, and also experiencing positive emotions and mastering. In this process, positive psychology seems as a powerful means.
