Abstract
This article introduces the problem of privatization of security with focus on the role of Private Military Companies (PMCs). We present key arguments about the positive and negative aspects of the use of PMCs services as well as three plausible levels for regulation of PMCs activities. At the end we cover the current state of research of PMCs primarily focused on the analysis of the impacts of security privatization upon the national and international political system.<br/><br/>
