Abstract
This article discusses the right of residents to run public affairs in local government.The first part focuses on the legal guarantees of the participation of residents in the managementof the commune. The second part presents procedural forms of including citizens in public affairs.In the last two parts of the article, forms of social participation in the process of planning andspatial development as well as in the process of revitalization were discussed.
