Prediction of static behavior for SFRC deep beams using new and simple nonlinear models
Journal Title: Caspian Journal of Applied Sciences Research - Year 2012, Vol 1, Issue 5
Abstract
The presence of steel fiber in the concrete deep beam will improve its deformation characteristics and shear capacity. Deep beam is a structural element in which the strain distribution is considered nonlinear. The using of new steel fiber concrete behavior nonlinearities in the prediction of static behavior of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) deep beam has not been studied extensively. In the present endeavor, novel and simple nonlinear mathematical relationships have been formulated depending on many experimental data. These relationships were used to develop new analytical computer program coded in FORTRAN with employing Heterosis finite elements to investigate deep beam behavior. Present results show good agreement with other related studies outputs in terms of deflections, applied loads, strains and failure pattern.

Age Groups Population Dynamic with an Arbitrary Unit Time
In this paper we present a mathematical model for the age groups population dynamics. The model has this ability to choose an arbitrary unit time. Series solutions of the equations of this model for three age groups unde...
Simulation of leaching nitrate with HYDRUS-1D in lysimetery studying under wheat cultivated in arid and semi-arid conditions of Dezful, Iran
Nitrogen is considered as an essential element for plants. However, its high solubility results in leaching it into soil deep. Due to saving in time and costs, mathematic models are commonly used in simulating some param...
Behavior of external column- wide beam joint with different bar arrangement and existence of joint shear link under gravity
An experimental investigation done on the RC exterior wide beam-column joint when subjected to the gravity load up to failure is reported in this paper. This study was conducted by applying the concentrated gravity load...
Study of Conjugate Convective Flow and entropy generation in a Channel Containing a Heated Obstacle
This theoretical work studied the heat transfer behaviour of laminar convection flow in a duct with a heated obstacle. The second law analysis is used to investigate the distribution of entropy generation in the f...
A Fuzzy Logic Based Model to Predict the Fretting Fatigue Life of Aerospace Al7075-T6 Alloy
Fretting fatigue is a phenomenon which occurs when two parts are contacted to each other and one of those parts or both are subjected to cyclic load. Fretting decreases fatigue life of materials drastically. Theref...
