Preparation of the future teacher-engineers in the design fundamentals of artistic design

Abstract
The article analyzes the criteria of education, design teaching methods that belong to design and design education. The analysis of the specificity of special training of engineers-teachers in the field of design with the basics of artistic design. Underlined the main problems of the engineer-teacher training in the field of design for the art-project activities. Also, the article identifies the main features and the value of design and technology and art and design activities in the training of future engineers-teachers in the field of design. The conclusion is made about the fact that – one of the most important purposes of the preparation of future engineers-teachers in the field of design is – the acquisition of skills and abilities (competencies) for the artistic design for the implementation of effective professional activity, enhance educational and cultural level of the student, the formation of its scientific outlook and artistic design thinking.
