Abstract
The 50th anniversary of the independent department of geography in Prešov is very good opportunity to reflect the history and the present stay of the geographic education and research activities at the University of Prešov. Thereat we have an ambition to present a brief profile of the Prešov ́s geographical community with emphasis on its impact on the personal development of geographers.
