Pretrial mechanisms for consumer protection for improving the population welfare of Ukraine

Abstract
The role of consumer protection in the system of providing welfare of the population is defined in the article. Analyzed the mechanisms of extrajudicial settlement of disputes between consumers and banking institutions. The expediency of introduction of Institute of financial Ombudsman in Ukraine with the aim of protecting the interests of consumers of banking services is justified. The mediation process, its advantages over judicial dispute resolution process and the conclusions about the necessity of introduction of mediation in practice is analyzed. The advantages and differences of the arbitration court beyond court of general jurisdiction are given. The proposals are given for improving extrajudicial mechanisms of consumer protection in the banking market Ukraine.
