Prężność partnerów, strategie radzenia sobie w sytuacji trudnej a jakość ich związku

Abstract
Modern family are exposed to numerous crises related to the functioning of the various roles and implementation of development tasks by their members. Ways of coping with difficulties seem to be closely associated with the potential for use of our own resource (Liberska, Matuszewska, 2006). Resilience, defined here as the potential for displaying resourcefulness by using the available internal and external resources in response to changes in context and developmental changes (Harms, Pooley, Cohen, in press) is, according to the authors of this article an important factor for selecting constructive ways of coping with difficulties by both partners in an intimate relationship. Therefore, it determines indirectly the quality of their relationship. In the conducted study the quality of functioning in relation was measured on three dimensions: conflicts, perceived support and commitment to the relationship. The Quality of Relationships Inventory (Pierce, Sarason, Sarason, 1991) in the Polish adaptation by Suwalska-Barancewicz, Liberska and Izdebski (2015), Lifespan Individual Resilience Scale in Polish adaptation by Malina and Mini-COPE in an adaptation by Juczyńskiego and Oginska-Bulik (2009) were used. The study involved 70 couples in various stages of family development (average age 29 years). Research indicates the importance of resilience and coping strategies in a difficult situation for the quality of connection partners in all three dimensions.
