Pris au piège. Les idéalistes dans Les Racines du ciel de Romain Gary

Journal Title: Lublin Studies in Modern Languages and Literature - Year 2019, Vol 43, Issue 1

Abstract

The study explores how Romain Gary reviews and rejects various moral attitudes in his novel The Roots of Heaven. His later novel The Kites sheds a new light at this novel from 1956. A cross reading of both novels allows to show why, according to Gary, ideologies are degenerating and what values remain unchanged.
