PROBLEMS OF DETERMINING STARTUPS INVESTMENT APPROPRIATENESS FOR IT-SECTOR DEVELOPMENT IN UKRAINE

Abstract
The problems and prospects of information technologies development in Ukraine are theoretically grounded in the article. Information of the Ukrainian IT market and Ukraine’s position in international rankings is provided. A holistic scientific definition of «startup» is proposed. Information about Ukrainian IT start-ups and their cooperation with the largest venture capital investors of Ukraine and the world is specified and grouped. The modern scholars’ research are analyzed and the basic concept of «venture investment» and its main difference from conventional investments is highlighted. Information on the development and venture capital investments attraction of start-ups in Ukraine is summarized. Recommendations on support and development of innovative IT-sector companies are proposed.
