PROBLEMS OF EARLY TREATMENT OF CHILDREN WITH HEARING DIFFICULTIES IN BULGARIA
Journal Title: Journal of Special Education and Rehabilitation - Year 1997, Vol 1, Issue 2
Abstract
Hearing loss acquired in the pre-lingual period of child’s development leads to problems in oral speech and communication. Speech and language development are as difficult as severe the damaged hearing is. This affects many mental processes and disables the child for a long period of time. It is important to provide the hearing-impaired child with appropriate hearing aids and specific methods of treatment as early as possible in order to avoid such disabling conditions as mentioned above.
