Production Technology of 30 mm Steel Cartridge Case in FPS Bolechowo

Abstract
In the paper the bases of production technology of steel cartridge cases for 30mm caliber anti-aircraft ammunition are presented. Particular stages of production technology are described: selection of chemical composition, production technology of steel grade, plastic working, construction of tools for plastic working processes and parameters of final heat treatment in order to obtain required mechanical and operational properties. Steel cartridge cases for 30 mm caliber ammunition are not produced currently in Poland. The paper contains results of investigations carried out in the project entitled: “Development of the bases production technology of steel components for 30 mm caliber ammunition”.
