PROFESSIOGRAM OF THE HEAD OF THE DIVISION OF DISTRICT OFFICERS OF THE NATIONAL POLICE OF UKRAINE

Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of developing of theoretical foundations and methodological tools for conducting professional graphic research in the National Police of Ukraine. The theoretical foundations and the internal structure of the process of professional graphic research are presented, and the possibilities of using of some methods and means of professional research to develop a professiogram for the head of the division of district police officers are revealed. On the basis of an experimental study conducted in twenty-five regions of Ukraine with coverage of more than three hundred respondents, the author has developed a professiogram for the head of the division of district police officers. The professiogram contains information about normatively secured title of the professional activity, work functions of specialists, conditions of professional activity, main characteristics and negative factors of activity, requirements for professional competencies, rights and duties of police officers. An important component of professiogram is a psychogram of the profession, which presents the recommended psychological indicators for performance of work. Among such indicators are features of psychomotor and cognitive processes, professional motivation, temperamental and characterological qualities, general and special abilities of the heads of police departments. Psychological contraindications to professional activity were also revealed - a weak type of nervous system and a low level of lability; insufficient speed of visual motor reaction; low level of intellectual potential, development of special professional and communication skills; unfavorable temperament properties; low level of self-actualization and achievement motivation, character accentuations; negative emotional and volitional qualities, etc. The article shows that a professional study of various types of professional policing is a prerequisite for solving problems related to the efficiency of using personnel potential, optimizing the selection of the most suitable candidates for police service, training and retraining personnel, rationalizing laborand reducing injuries. Prospects for further research in this direction lie in the further development of the methodology and the improvement of professional graphic tools for studying of law enforcement activity, the optimization of psycho-diagnostic methods.
