Journal Title: SAR Journal - Science and Research - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 4

Abstract

Most of the organizations face failures in their project accomplishment due to different factors such as funds, planning, time, manpower, etc. Various management tools and techniques are practiced by organizations to strive against the existing challenges. Project Management Office (PMO) is an emerging concept that defines and maintains the standards of project management within an organization. In the UAE, even though most of the public sectors implement this project management strategy, the majority of the organizations are still following the traditional practices. The main objective of this paper is to analyze and provide a review of the literature based on the definition of PMO, PMO models, success factors and its impact on organizational productivity.
