PROPAGANDA AS AN INSTRUMENT OF INFLUENCE ON THE SUBCONSCIOUS OF A PERSON IN MODERN UKRAINE

Journal Title: Молодий вчений - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 53

Abstract

The article outlines the main goal of the processes of "remifi_logization" and "revival of the myth" – the formation of the public opinion desired by the authorities and manipulation of mass consciousness. Public opinion, according to some scientists, is one of the forms of mass consciousness. In this case, the formation of the first occurs spontaneously and purposefully. In the second variant, the social consciousness is influenced by social institutions, among which mass communication is especially effective. In modern culture, it is the means of communication that has become a powerful tool for consolidating society, which involves numerous techniques of manipulation of the social and mass consciousness. Among the effective manipulative methods, the author distinguishes the following: a special method of broadcasting (crushing) and immediate submission of information, coverage of events at a certain angle, distortion or substitution of facts, the mosaic of plots in the filing of television news. The typology of propaganda, the structure of the propaganda message, and its meaning are briefly outlined. The classical design of the propaganda message, which is used daily by Russian means of communication, is demonstrated. During the analysis of the presentation of information by the Russian media, the operation of the following types of myth is singled out: the historical (on the exclusiveness of the Russian people), the geographic (about the Crimea as the always "Russian" land, on Novorossiia), the national (on the need to protect the Russian-speaking population in Ukraine, "Elder brother" of Ukrainians), political (about the Kievan hunta, "evil banderivtsi", punitive battalions, ultra radicals from the "Right sector").
