Properties of TiN and TiAlN Coatings Deposited onto Samples made from High Speed Steel by Sarc PVD Technique
Journal Title: Problemy Mechatroniki. Uzbrojenie, lotnictwo, inżynieria bezpieczeństwa - Year 2013, Vol 4, Issue 1
Abstract
The paper deals with assesssment of selected properties of TiN and TiAlN coatings deposited on specimens from the high speed steel HS6-5-2-5 (STN 19 852) by Sarc PVD technique. There were essessed trobological properties such friction coefficient and wear. Wear rate was evaluated as a depth of wear. Selected mechanical properties such thickness and chemical composition of coatings, hardness and Young´s modulus were assessed. These Al based coatings were tested by selected methods. Measured properties were compared to other authors
