PROPOSAL TO IMPROVE MANOEUVRABILITY OF TWARDY BATTLE TANK

Abstract
The article presents the basic parameters characterizing manoeuvrability and provides an overview of modern battle tanks from the point of view of parameters proving these properties. The author compares the parameters of other medium battle tanks to the ones of the Twardy battle tank. On the basis of own research on flexibility of diesel engines, the author suggests how to improve engine parameters of the Twardy battle tank in such a way so as not to exceed its thermal and mechanical loads. The solution is at the same time to serve to improve its manoeuvrability at relatively small effort. The article also presents its impact on engine performance and exhaust fumes smokiness.
